All About The Antigona
The influencer and celebrity “it” bag: the Givenchy Antigona. The Antigona first launched in F/W 2011 under Creative Director Riccardo Tisci. It followed the great success of his previous launch, the Nightingale bag. Riccard Tisci, now Creative Director for Burberry, was known for combining masculine and feminine design elements to create unique fashion statements.
Where did the name Antigona come from? In Greek mythology, the “Antigone” was famed for unwithering beliefs. She was fiery and headstrong. Her name translates to anti-opinions.
The Antigona is now deemed a classic piece, its design has withstood the test of time and is still being rocked today. Its timeless sturdy structure with its functional detachable shoulder strap. The bag has a spacious interior and multiple interior pockets.
