Pantone Color Of The Year 2022: Very Peri

In early December, Pantone released its color of the year. This year they decided on the shade “Very Peri”. It is a purple hue with violet-red undertones and a slight quality of blue. Lilac has been a massive trend in fashion in 2021 we saw it in clothing, makeup and also handbags!

The Pantone press release stated that the color was chosen with intent of what is currently taking place culturally. Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute said, “Creating a new color for the first time in the history of our Pantone Color of the Year educational color program reflects the global innovation and transformation taking place.”
