Brief History of Van Cleef & Arpels

Wanna hear a love story?  Estelle Arpels, daughter of a precious stone dealer, married Alfred Van Cleef, the son of a stonecutter, in 1895. It was said that in the 19th century, the main goal of marriage was to create alliances between families in order to create strong economic ties. After the wedding, Estelles Estelle's brother, Charles, formed a partnership with Alfred. They combined their passion for jewellery making and family, which resulted in them making a flagship location in Paris inside the Place Vendome.  Creating a brand named Van Cleef & Arpels. The company expanded with Estelles and other brothers Julien and Louis joining the company.  The brand is still a family business with Julien's son being involved to this day.

The “Perlee” design has been part of the Van Cleef & Arpels line for over a decade now. They are tiny hand-polished beads and they decorate anything from rings, watches or earrings. Inspired by the iconic “Tartelette” ring first launched in 1948, they were meticulously designed with curves to reflect light. They are often paired with diamonds or gemstones.

We have a gorgeous Perlee ring in stock! In beautiful white gold with diamonds. The ring originally retails for over 10K CAD and we have it currently on sale! Don’t miss out!
